The Karbi Anglong Assam Region

Karbi Anglong is the southernmost region in Assam. Comprised of hills and low jungles, it has both hot summers and cold winters.

The Karbi Anglong jungles are known for being home to the unusual one-horned rhinoceros and an assortment of other wild animals.

In this land where agriculture is the main source of income, a recent drought pushed about 60 percent of the population below the poverty line.
